Prepping For Pool Closing
Before our team arrived to close the pool, the client made sure everything was prepped and ready for a smooth process. They began by thoroughly cleaning the pool, skimming the surface, and brushing the walls to remove any debris or algae that could cause issues during the winter months. Next, they lowered the water level to the recommended height, just below the skimmer, to prevent any freeze-related damage when temperatures drop. The client also ensured that all accessories, such as ladders and pool toys, were removed, and any items around the pool were cleared out of the way. This allowed our team to work efficiently and ensured the pool would be in top shape for its winter hibernation. Preparing in advance made the closing process smoother and helped protect the pool from potential winter wear and tear.
Steps to Close the Pool
Our team began by carefully plugging both the skimmer and return lines to block any water from entering and freezing inside. After that, the hoses, filter system, and additional accessories were all disconnected and set aside. These essential parts were then stored in a safe location as specified by the client, ensuring they'll be easy to set up again when spring rolls around. Every step was handled with precision and care, making sure the pool will remain in top condition for next season.
Securing the Cover for Winter
Once the pool system was winterized, our team moved on to the final stage: installing the winter cover. Air pillows were placed inside to help distribute the weight of snow and ice, protecting the pool structure during the harsh months ahead. After that, the cover was pulled snugly over the pool and secured with a cable and winch system, ensuring it stays firmly in place throughout the winter. It was the perfect way to wrap up the job and leave this pool fully protected until next year.
